Even though all these people love to buy these products, only a few care to know about the heritage and value of these products in reality. This is the reason why many people don’t bother to know the history of a certain thing that they love to keep with them all the time.

The Onset of Legacy:
Omega watches have a rich history. They are known as the most amazing brand of all time. The foundation of the company was laid down by Louis Brandt. He was pretty young at that time. At an age of only 23, the man in the year 1848 opened up Comptoir d´établissage at La Chaux-de-Fonds. He used to travel through the entire Europe to make sure that the products were delivered to the right customer. Soon after the entry of his sons, the company name changed to Louis Brandt & Fils.

Now, soon after the death of Louis, his sons started implementing new technological mechanism to the production process much inspired from the American technology. It was an age of mechanization. They soon acquired a factory building and started manufacturing products with modern techniques. Soon, they opened up new markets in faraway lands, for instance America.

Fast Moving Company:
Now, the company started off very fast under the two sons. In the year 1889, the workforce was about 600 employees and more than a 100,000 timepieces were already manufactured by then. The name of the company originated from the idea of Henri Riekel, who was then a banker. Omega means in a way the edge before the mark of perfection in Latin. With the movement of pocket watch in the year 1849, the name suited the company very well.

First Grand Recognitio:
Omega’s pocket watch was acclaimed by many and it eventually won a gold medal in Geneva exhibition. Even many popular magazines published their prominence in the watch manufacturing business and how they are about to change and improve the watch industry to higher standards.

In the year 1903, both the owners died and the company was left under the guidance of six direct descendants of the owners and was renamed to S.A. Louis Brandt & Frère, Omega Watch Co. Their amazing technique and hand in progress in technology enabled them to make progress in almost all the sectors of watch making. They had the means of outstanding mechanical techniques and this helped them to make a mark in the industry.

Today, they are producing Omega watches not only for sports fanatics, but also for pilots, military, navy, and women. Their range of products is vast and it was through them that many company merges came into existence.
